How to protect religious freedom in South Africa
Michael Swain
Like all rights, freedom of religion is only guaranteed to the extent that it is carefully guarded.
Rights are never lost in a single day, but rather suffer “death by a thousand cuts” and there is a global trend and an ascendant ideology that is increasingly in conflict with the views and values of people who hold more traditional belief systems and worldviews.
It is therefore vital that people exercise their constitutional right to make their voices heard in the law-making process.

The church’s role in winning the war against crime
Alain Walljee
The USA’s Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration on 26 January 2024 listed violent crime among the top major concerns in terms of market challenges in South Africa.
While the ITA relied on reports they received from accredited sources, South Africans and residents of Nelson Mandela Bay live with that reality every day.
Business Tech ran an article on 27 October 2023 which showed that Nelson Mandela Bay was ranked as the most violent city in the country, with 80 murders per 100 000 residents.

The power of intergenerational ministry and church families
Jenni Meyer
The body of Christ is becoming more and more aware of the need and necessity of working together to build and maintain intergenerational churches and ministries.
Psalm 127:3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.
What a joy it is to see churches placing importance on intergenerational church and ministries.
Where you can see at least three, but up to four generations in a church – loving, worshipping, obeying and telling others about the goodness, love and forgiveness found in the Lord Jesus Christ.

The ART of feeding the poor.

When we look around our city, there is sadly no shortage of people who are both poor and needy, with many suffering under extreme poverty.
Any action to address and alleviate these conditions is to be applauded and supported. Most churches within Gqeberha have some ministry that attends to the needs of the poor, the homeless, or widows and orphans, as Scripture requires of us to do.

One of the many factors which make dementia so difficult for the family and loved ones to deal with is that no two people show the same symptoms or experience the disease in the same way. This is also true of the different stages, because the brain is so complex.

Finding the missing link between Sunday in church and Monday actions
The difference between what people hear on Sundays in church and what they do from Monday to Saturday is what we could call “the missing link.”
